Hotel Knopp was founded in 1865 by Adalbert Knopp Sr. Resourceful and enterprising, Adalbert understood the heartbeat of the town. The hotel quickly became a gathering place for the era’s finest minds- a stage for numerous social and cultural events, performances, concerts, and dances- attended by Croatian bans, Zagreb bishops, actors, artists, and royal district officials.
